I also found this little Jerusalem cherry tree for a pop of color – beware if you buy one of these, they are poisonous, so have a talk with your kiddos about not eating them! I love the holly vibe they have…Īnd it detracts from my attempt at decorating a gingerbread house myself. My ever present bowl of oranges gets a little holiday twist with some cinnamon sticks and a pom pom garland. I love the thought of having my own little Charlie Brown-esq Christmas tree to last me all season and through the winter too. I found this little juniper tree in the bonsai section of Fruitbasket Flowerland (my fave local spot for plants). While I skipped the live garland, I did find some cute “Christmas-y” live plants at my local nursery. I like that it can transition to winter decor too. It wasn’t with the Christmas decor, but rosemary sprigs always feel holiday to me. I found this cute “Rosemary” sign at Hobby Lobby for $8. You do have to follow the directions carefully, but they removed with no marks just fine last year. Lots of questions last year on how I attach things to my hood – I used 3 – 3M strips (the 5lb hook kind) and they worked great. The key I have found to using faux greenery is finding garland that has several different kinds of branches and greenery in it. This year, I used a beautiful faux garland above my range hood, and it has really pretty eucalyptus branches and pinecones in it. I mean they are green right? Basically a veggie ) I finally took it down about a week before Christmas last year after my kids found one too many pine needles in their dinner. It’s just never going to last until Christmas. However I’ve finally decided live greenery is best left for non-bloggers, who aren’t decorating for Christmas on Halloween! Utensil holding jars too can be lightly decorated with a simple pine cone necklace. It’s like a flower vase but you stuff it with faux greens and ornamental balls instead. If you have a lot of counter space in the kitchen, putting some decorative jars might be a bright idea. We got ribbons, wreaths, evergreens and oh, we can’t miss out the traditional bubbly Christmas garlands for the cabinets! It’s a great idea if you have extra garlands for this. It’s the right tree for the kitchen alright! I love how this mini Christmas tree has a grate as part of its ornament. The greens and holly berry is just enough to give it a nice Christmas feel to it. You don’t have to get Santa mugs for this. The popular festive words of “JOY” never gets old! It is the right thing to put in the kitchen if you’re thinking of something other than evergreen decors. Make your kitchen green and lively with jars of pine leaves and holly berry! You can put these decorative jars anywhere in the kitchen. Gives your kitchen a close to nature kind of feel. Present boxes are nice but we like evergreen more. If there’s space above the kitchen cabinet, you can put string lights and evergreen. The snowman fridge decor is really a hit these days. This is one complete decoration of the kitchen. We think it’s just right for a simple decor. You can save some budget with cheap evergreen for the kitchen window decor. If you have wreaths for the windows, having mini wreaths for the kitchen cabinet will match the theme well!Įlegant red ribbons for elegant kitchen cabinets. I really like how the red ball ornamentsīeautiful green wreaths matched with red curtains spell amazing for this kitchen window. You can put the signature pine branches in it or grow a real one in it. Galvanized bucket looks best for this decor. See more of these simple decoration ideas in this list! It can be simple as putting wreaths by the kitchen cabinets and kitchen window. And, you don’t actually have to go too far to be creative with it. Every space that has potential to be seen by guests deserves some decoration. With Christmas coming, everything needs to be well-decorated.
